Margaret Downey
Margaret is a Solicitor and the Lead Trustee. She was in private practice specialising in Wills and Trusts for many years but is now semi retired. She also runs another local Charitable Trust so brings her knowledge and skills to The Lawrence Charitable Trust.
Crispin Freeman
Crispin is a chartered accountant and takes care of the charity’s accounts. Crispin is also involved in a number of charities in East Sussex spanning heritage, environment and the arts.
Andrew Leaper
Andrew is a fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents. As the senior partner of a local firm, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to the trust.
Ian Turnball
Ian is the General Manager of a local Retirement Living Community for a large Healthcare company. Over the past 30 years, he has helped a number of charities by raising funds and participating in various charitable events and activities.
Ian has previously sat as a trustee on other charities but it is The Lawrence Charitable Trust that means so much to him as he and Michael Piper were friends for over 20 years so it is a privilege to look after Michael’s legacy
Gemma Mantell
Gemma works as a business support coordinator and is also part of a growing support team for a large national charity. Being no stranger to fundraising. Gemma has taken part in many events over the years helping to raise funds and awareness for local causes.
